Once again this year’s UKISUG Connect marked another enormously successful conference, taking place over three days at the ICC in Birmingham, with more than 500 SAP customers and 70 exhibitors. A number of key IT media also attended, covering the key issues raised during the event, from Brexit to indirect access and IoT.
UKISUG chairman Paul Cooper kicked off the Monday with his keynote speech - CBR explained that Cooper struck at the heart of this year’s conference theme; collaboration, explaining how this will help members to flourish in a time when issues such as indirect licensing and Brexit are causing uncertainty for users. Following Paul’s speech, The Register, diginomica and Computer Weekly covered the findings of the User Group’s latest member research which captured users’ thoughts on indirect licensing and IoT.
Day two covered a wide range of topics that were reflected in the headlines, from Ray Wang’s rousing keynote on the impact of machine learning and personalisation, as reported on by CBR, to SAP’s progress on S/4 HANA adoption, as highlighted by The Register.
As 2017 draws to a close, we are looking forward to further demonstrating how the User Group can continue to support users in the New Year, and have already started our countdown to the 30th Anniversary conference in 2018.
