Optimising Stock Movements in SAP IM with PreBilt™

The company, a leading building materials manufacturer, currently operates SAP Inventory Management (IM) and, as part of a continuous optimisation strategy, is looking to digitise additional goods receipt and inventory processes to remove reliance on paper-based processes and increase stock accuracy. Working closely with the customer’s internal team, we will ensure the solution is configured to work with the manufacturer’s specific processes, before being tested and implemented.

As part of the proposed activity, we will activate further functionality within PreBilt for IM, incorporating IM Multi Bin Management, to offer enhanced stock control functionality. The new solution will manage bin to bin movements, goods receipt external, stock enquiry, physical inventory and general postings. Configuring the functionality in line with the customer requirements, operators will be able to use PreBilt to capture batch and quantities receipted from PO, pick materials from bulk storage bins and create and count inventory materials.

This solution will deliver improved visibility for the stock enquiry processes without the need for additional development, tracking bin to bin moves, storage bin contents and the automatic creation of dynamic bins. Teams will also have access to document capture functionality, accommodating image capture of delivery notes during goods receipt.
