Delivering S/4HANA Transformation in the Automotive Industry

The customer, a British automotive manufacturer, has been running SAP WM on ECC6 since 2001, upgrading and customising the system during this time. Due to a planned S/4HANA migration within its parent company, the manufacturer was given the opportunity to implement SAP EWM for its own operations, separately from the wider business.

We were engaged to deliver the implementation based on our EWM and S/4HANA expertise, and the positive working relationship we have developed with the customer through several successful SAP supply chain projects together.

Working closely with the customer’s internal team to understand its processes and requirements, our expert consultants successfully delivered a blueprint report for the rollout of decentralised EWM on S/4HANA at its two UK warehouses.

Based on our blueprint, we will now be moving forward with the implementation at the two sites, plus an additional automated small parts warehouse.

A detailed design phase will ensure that the blueprint is still the best-fit solution for the customer, taking into account the requirements of the additional site, any potential internal business strategy or system changes and the latest EWM and automotive releases and roadmap from SAP.

The system will then be expertly built and configured by our team, working closely with the customer to ensure that it encompasses all processes required. We will also be overseeing all required testing, as well as the go-live and post implementation support.
